Simple Biscuits
These are the biscuits I was born and raised on and they are still my favorite! We make 'em bite sized and something about baking your biscuits in a cast iron makes 'em taste more southern!

Dry

all purpose flour
3/4
cup
whole wheat flour, * can sub all purpose if desired

Tbsp
baking powder
1/2
tsp
salt
Wet

chilled butter, cut into cubes
3/4

milk of choice
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 450F.
Combine dry ingredients into a medium-sized bowl.
Add in your cubed butter to the dry ingredients and mix with your hands until the consistency is similar to that of corn meal.
Then add in your milk and stir until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl.
Form into biscuits and place in a 9" cast iron pan.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Eat 'em as they are or top with butter, jam, jelly, you name it :)
